I have not heard of this error before.

I have no problem using SQL Assistant 6.2 with a Teradata 4.1 system. All Tree functions work as expected. (I no longer have access to a Teradata 4.0 system, but I tested that OK last year.)

My guess would be that the problem is caused by either an old version of the ODBC driver (no version was specified in the email.) or possibly an option setting in either SQLA or ODBC.

You should probably be using Teradata ODBC 3.3.0.x. (x=0 to 5) Try clearing the last checkbox on the Query tab of the options screen. (always the first thing to try if something odd happens) If this doesnt help, try looking at the options you have selected in the ODBC Data Source. (Use the ODBC Administrator or the Define Data Source menu in SQLA.)
