Subj:   Teradata Index Wizard (TIWIZ) interpretation

We log every thing in DBC. ACCESSLOG table and transfer periodically this table to a external support for future analysis. This is a legal need for our enterprise.

We are at v2r5.0 and would like experimented TIWIZ (Teradata Index WIZard) but we have this error message :

6818 - Index Analysis is not allowed when access logging is enabled.

Explanation: Index Analysis is not supported, when access logging is enabled on the system. This error is reported only if any access needs to be logged. This error may not be reported in some cases even if access logging is enabled. This happens when any of the referenced objects in the workload or in the QCD are not access logging enabled.

Generated By: GNC

For Whom: End User.

Remedy: Disable access logging and resubmit.

Any idea of what is the need for TIWIZ to disable access logging.

I don't understand the way TIWIZ work and why is going to be confused when access logging is on.

Thank you for your support.
