All, I need a way to determine how many instances of the TUF limit of 15 are available at a given moment on a Teradata system. I am aware that you may only have a max, based on settings, of 15 Teradata Utilities (MultiLoad/FastExport/FastLoad) running on a system at a time. In order to fully automate my load process, I am building a VB application to monitor and kick-off these utilities. I do not want to use Tenacity and Sleep as I need more programmatic control than they afford. Instead, I need a way, preferably via SQL to DBC or a simple command line tool, to determine the number of 'free' slots available for Teradata Utilities. e.g. System allows up to a max of 15 but through dbs control the max has been set to 10. At a specific moment, 4 utilities are running, which means there are 6 Available. Ultimately, I am looking for the # available. Thanks in advance.
