While the underlying premise is valid, I can only envision that this feature could possibly detect a subtle data and/or I/O error. Granted,
that in of itself could be of benefit in certain situations. Can you offer insight into how the DBMS could dynamically correct or reliably
recover from such a detected error? The issue I am struggling with is that if the underlying hardware is suspect then how could the DBMS know
which bit of information that failed its checks/comparison, is the one to be believed?
