We had a problem recently with our backup software on teradata where we needed to restore a single view. I could not find a way to do it, so I
opened an incident. I was told in the incident that the only way to do this was to restore the entire database either over the existing database
OR to a new location (by renaming it). Neither of those was really an option for us because we didn't want to overwrite newer data and we don't
have the space to recreate another copy of the database.
We have been able to rebuild the view, but I was wondering how other people make regular backups of views, procedures and macros (they fall
into the same category) so they can restore them individually.
Thanks
Craig
