As you would know from your past position, there is a combination of science and art in tuning queries.

For the some of the science part, you could consult some of the documentation - specifically look at the SQL reference manuals and the explain keyword.

But I would suggest going on training. There are a number of suppliers out there. As you would expect a quick search on google for "Teradata training" scored thousands of hits from a number of suppliers.
