In my early days, I thought I could install Teradata on a shared machine. We had an Oracle instance on the same box and the Oracle ran
fine...
Teradata is a share-nothing architecture. If you have anything else on the system outside of the operating system, you will not be able to use
the storage. Teradata is expecting to own it all.
Make sure this is a Teradata only system...
