Hey Al... I know your level of expertise is very high so I categorize this under the "Un-Explainable" I would suggest that you recreate the view as the same user that created the other views that are working fine. If the view as already been created by the same user as the other views that are working, well so what.. Replace the offending view anyway. If this does not work, try creating another view in another database and point it to the offending table using a select with grant option from the view database to DBTEST. We are trying to see if we can find the pattern.
