Subj:   Setting up Teradata System Alerts using Lotus Notes

From:   Prabhjot Sodhi

Hi All,

I am trying to set up the Teradata System Alerts using Lotus Notes. I am using the third party freeware utility BLAT.exe (version 2.2).

I am able to send mails by running the batch file with default command line parameters.

While performing the same using Teradata Alert Policy on TTU7.0, it fails!!!

I defined the policy as follows:

- Selected Physical Action -> Run a program.

- Added the Blat.exe in <Install drive>:/Program Files/NCR/ Teradata Manager 6.0/secure/ folder.

- Program Name -> Blat.exe

- Parameters -> C:/Message.txt -to <email-id>

The program Blat.exe is called but no mail is sent. I checked the log, and it says, Blat saw and processed these options, and was confused by the last one... <email-id>

I think the problem is with the way I need to pass the parameters in Parameters edit box in conjunction with the Blat.exe in Program Edit box, so that application can understand the complete command line.

Any suggestions are welcome. A prompt reply shall be highly appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,

Pete
