Hi Vijay, Increasing space in Teradata is a very interesting topic and I'm sure by this time there will be hundred replies to you (most of them similar). There are two ways to do this: 1. Through Teradata Administrator, there is an option on the left side menu that will pop-up with required information i.e. source & target database with amount of space to be increased/transfer 2. Through sql, under following steps in order - Create database dbname1 as PERM=10E9 (for 10 gigs space) - move dbname1 to dbname2 - drop database dbname1 # Unlike other databases, you have to take different approach in teradata. The source of this space is always another database, you have to take space from one database(source) to another database(target) and nornmally its DBC (or separately created database for space related issues) that carry most of the space for future utilisation. The methodology that we adopt is to - create a child database under the source database with required space, - move this source database under the target database, - drop the source database to relase the space to its immediate parent database (i.e. target database) In both the cases(1 & 2) you need to have a database level access on both the databases. Hope this resolve your query. No matter if you are using demo version....you can try this in queryman. Regards Chander Sangra
