Subj:   Re: Teradata connection via Mac OS X

From:   Victor Sokovin

This is great information coming from someone who has been in the education system for may years. I am sure that you have had many experiences with the MAC. Sometimes it is best to get a clear direction so we do not waste time attempting something that is just not there. We do not have to like the answers.

The situation might quickly change, though, as it did a few years ago with Linux. The amount of Unix/Linux-like stuff in Mac OS X suggests that we can expect a lot from this OS. The other factor is popularity of Apple computers. They are definitely on the rise.

As I mentioned earlier, there are vendors out there who explicitly claim they have successfully implemented a Mac OS X JDBC driver for Teradata.

Regards,

Victor
