Carrie, It's not just the question of "ease of join" but a question of 'is it really capable to join the two tables with 100% confidence that the right parent row is joined with the right child row?' The design objective basically doesn't serve the user community what it supposed to .. The ability to relate and analyze data ... If the tables are related they MUST be able to be joined with 100% confidence without loosing rows otherwise we are virtually ended up with some unusable data... Am I incorrect or misunderstood something ? Thanks Sankar
