I don't think you will pick up 35 seconds, but as long as your using sys_calendar already use Week of Calendar instead of calculating the begin
and end dates ( if the SUN - Sat format fits your definition).
We don't have V2R5, but if you do, you can look at partition index or some other index methods which would more likely make a higher
performance improvement.
