Starting last week, queries returning large amounts of data across our network lines began running consistently and substantially longer (from 3 minutes to 30 mintues!). Sessions Information in Teradata Manager show the sessions in a responding state.

The queries are completing in Teradata in the same amount of time, we can return results to a Teradata Table or return them to an MVS file via ESCON channels in a timely manner.

We do not believe any changes have been made to servers, firewalls, or any other factors in the Network.

Is it possible that Teradata, not the network, is the bottleneck? Any hints on where to begin checking?
