What is wrong with this, in a bteq update statement (reading from a flat file, for * need to make it null, else give it the value from the file)? It does not work..

     DATE_TS = (CASE WHEN :DATE_TS ='*' THEN NULL ELSE CAST(:DATE_TS) AS TIMESTAMP(0)) end),
