Hi All, Can somebody describe the following statement interms of Oracle Query Processing. 1.Select * from TableA; (Table A has a unique Primary Key ) From Teradata Point As TableA has a unique PK the request will be sent to all AMP , and the records referred by each AMP for this TableA will be fetched in parallel without any HOTAMPs . What is the case in Oracle ?? 2. What if I have a where clause on the PK column in the above select . From the Teradata Point I understand it is going to be only one or some AMP that is going to work out this . In this case Which is deciding that which AMP(s) should work out this?? If it is PE... has PE know all information about what all the AMP has What is the case in Oracle ?? 3. What if I have a where clause on the Non Unique column in the above select ?
