Subj: | | ETL: Push vs Pull |
|
From: | | Jim Downey |
I had an interesting discussion today and wanted to solicit your opinions.
When you consider from a DW organization perspective, is it better to have an ETL strategy that is "PUSH" or "PULL"? With a PUSH strategy,
the source area maintains the application to read the source and create an interface file that is presented to your ETL. With a PULL strategy,
the DW maintains the application to read the source.
Thanks
Jim
