Viswanathan,

After clicking on "Start Teradata" in the "Teradata Service Control" program does Teradata V2R5.0 stay in the "Down/Stopped" state? If so, you can get help from the Teradata Global Support Center via www.teradata.com/demo/ and then clicking on "Customer Support for Teradata Warehouse 7.0 Demo CD".

Also, you can get help here by answering the following questions: Are you using Windows 2000 (Pro or Server) or Windows XP (Home or Pro)? Which Service Pack? Are you using NTFS or FAT32? Did the following Windows Services start OK? -- BYNET, Teradata GTW Reserve Port, Teradata inetd Service. Are there any Teradata error messages in the Windows Event log?
