| The load components which is causing problem is the O-Table component using the API load. This causes rowhash locks to accumulate. I was
under the impression that if Teradata sees a lot of rowhash locks it escalates it to a Table level lock, its certainly is not happening here. So
what is the limit on the number of locks an AMP can handle? | |
This rings some bells, even with R4. Try Carrie's suggestions in
www.teradataforum.com/teradata/20031009_230918.htm and
see whether you can apply them to the Ab Initio component.
As to the max number of locks, I am thinking of 2048 as the system-wide max number of active transactions. I cannot advise on the AMP-
level limit. If I find more information, I'll report back.
