Hi,

We are facing unusual Performance Experience when we are trying to load using Teradata Utilities and External ETL tools like Informatica.

When we are using Teradata utilities such as BTEQ or MLOAD for ETL activities the performance is being very good, but when ever we are trying to load data to Teradata through other ETL tools such as Informatica or Data Stage the performance is being very slow.

When we are trying to insert even small amounts of data like 5000 Rows data to Teradata target tables using Informatica or Data stage ETL tools , the performance is very slow but where as if you try to insert the same data to a different targets such as Oracle Table the performance is very good. We have done enough R&D on this and our findings are " Teradata is not good when you are loading data other than Teradata own utilities like BTEQ, MLOAD and FAST load ". There might be a problem with the ODBC driver provided by Teradata to access Teradata through external applications such as Informatica or Data Stage or Abi-Nitio.

Can someone offer any kind of alternative for this where in we can effectively utilize Teradata by ETL tools.
