Let me preface this by saying I know next to nothing about journals ...
But why can't you apply the daily journal into an empty Teradata database (schema only)? Doesn't the AFTER journal contain a copy of the
updated data, and wouldn't this data be applied into the empty table giving you a record of only the updated rows?
I don't really know, just wondering aloud ...
