Subj:   Re: Communication between Unix NCR and server SUN

From:   Geoffrey Rommel

Do you know where I can find some informations and documentations about this subject :

Communication between a UNIX NCR (utility : support only the database teradata) and a server SUN (utility : support only the applications, fastload, batch ...)

I don't know what you are asking, Denis, but we do have a Solaris machine on which we have installed TTU 7.0 (bteq, FastLoad, ODBC drivers, etc.). These are connected on a high-speed network (gigabit Ethernet?) to our Teradata server. The /etc/hosts file on Solaris contains "...cop1" entries for the IP addresses of the Teradata TPA nodes. It is also possible to connect from Solaris using Perl or C, not just the utilities. Your NCR support people should know how to set up all these things.

Does this help?
