I don't know what you are asking, Denis, but we do have a Solaris machine on which we have installed TTU 7.0 (bteq, FastLoad, ODBC
drivers, etc.). These are connected on a high-speed network (gigabit Ethernet?) to our Teradata server. The /etc/hosts file on Solaris contains
"...cop1" entries for the IP addresses of the Teradata TPA nodes. It is also possible to connect from Solaris using Perl or C, not just the
utilities. Your NCR support people should know how to set up all these things.
