I wouldn't recommend running more than 5 utility jobs in parallel. Certain phases of these utilities (particularly when executed in parallel) can deplete the systems memory (which will results in slow redistributions, memory hash joins, and logon times.) Most of our odd-ball system slow-downs can be attributed to Teradata import\export utilities.
