Yes; that would be my guess as well but why the numbers don't match exactly in this simplest case, with the fresh statistics just
collected? I was actually thinking about queries returning incorrect results as reported, for example, in
www.teradataforum.com/teradata/20031126_191948.htm .
Both cases might be unrelated but one just has to be on guard with V2R5, not only with performance issues but also with correctness of
the results returned by queries.
