Well, you can always rename the file with the mv command but I assume that you are not looking for that answer. Unfortunately it is not possible to change the default logname naming convention. This is how the name is created: NCR_Teradata/arclogs/<JOBID>.<streamnr<.log Where JOBID= <adminclient_name>.<DATE> DATE= starttime of the job: 'date +%Y%m%d%H%M%S' (determined based on the time of the adminclient) Adminclient_name= The name of the windows station that has the NetBackup TDE installed Streamnr= 0000 for all amp archives, for cluster jobs the streamnr as defined in the tdconfig file Some customers are renaming the file after the job has been finished. This can be more or less automated if you know the starttime of the job. Please be aware that the arclogs are normally deleted after 14 days. If you want to retain them for a longer period you will need to move the logs to a different directory. Regards, Ysbrand Ysbrand Bergman
