Hi Can someone help me out in optimizing a select query which inner joins two table one big and another small? Precise information is below: Table x: 23296802 Table y: 173 Current Retrieval Time : 10 Mins Table x has surrogate key and the other composite candidate key is a,b,c,d. Table y has primary index on a,b,e,f,g,h I am joining on a and b column. Now since I don't have an option of using the surrogate key on which the data distribution happens. I can't even create a secondary index on it due to space constraint. Need suggestions? Thanks Vikram
