Website Application lanagauge - VB, ASP which is using Teradata ODBC Driver 3.0.2.0 to connect to teradata. The application is timing out (10 min for timeout) even while displaying a 200 rows. This time out setting is from application and not from Teradata. Am assuming that the problem could be related to recordset fetch and then assigning to local variable. Is there any recommendation to enhance the performance of the fetch. Could there be some culprit other than record fetch ? We have tried increasing buffer size in odbc driver, but there was no change. Is there any way to check where could be problem. A clue - the application used oracle odbc driver previously to connect to oracle database and the response time was quite fast. I am afraid if Teradata ODBC is going to cause performance problem for the application. I have run the same query through Queryman. It took 3 sec for DBMS processnig and 33 sec for fetching the data for displaying 400 rows. Should I try with Teradata OLE DB ? This would atleast skip ADO calls through msdasql to odbc. TIA, Neeraj
