Hi Jim,

Thanks for giving us a peek at UDFs - I'm sure that it's widely appreciated.

No real slight was meant with the 'vapourware' comment, but I find it frustrating when an upcoming feature is proposed as a solution and then there is no information to substantiate that claim.

Let's face it, features have been promised before and never delivered. I remember when replication was imminent and yet it still hasn't appeared (even though changes were made in the DBSControl Record and the Data Dictionary in anticipation of the feature - about the V2R3 timeframe). Maybe I'm too pragmatic (or cynical), but it's not real until it's cluttering my desktop.

That aside, I really am looking forward to UDFs and I'm hoping that we can get more information about it before it becomes the thread du jour.

Once again, thanks for posting the sample code.
