Make sure to us the logoff syntax so once you abort the session it will logoff the system...
I have aborted sessions before and they stay in the system if you do not do a "abort session *.DBC logoff" This will abort all DBC
sessions from the system and log them off... I use this command when our backups breach the backup window and are blocking our loads...
(causes quite a stir)
Do a help from the operator console to get the proper syntax for what you want to do regarding abort session...
