Yes, it works 'NOW' - it was not working when Stored procedure were first introduced (I guess that was 4.1) I was trying to implement something which required the INSERT/SELECT generated dynamically - but then it failed, thereby I scraped the stored procedure approach and instead resolved to simple sql.
