 I assume you used the main TTU 7.0 install program and selected SQL Assistant (and Teradata Administrator) as the applications to install
when you refer to it defaulting to silent mode. Starting with TTU 7.0 I think the CD also allows you to run an install for each individual application. I dont have the CD, but I think
there are separate application directories, each with their own setup.exe file.  If you use that method you will bypass any 'silent' install
and there is much less liklyhood that different temp directories will be used for different parts. (The file you are refering to is "Teradata SQL Assistant 6.1.msi" - This is the Windows Installer control file.) Mike DempseyTeradata Client Tools
