Subj: | | Re: What is the difference between an Inclusion Merge Join and a Merge Join? |

From: | | Anantaraman, Kumaran (K.) |
Table A
row1 = x
row2 = y
Table B
row 1 = x
row 2 = x
row 3 = z
In plain merge join, row 1 of table A will join to both rows 1 and 2 of table B. In inclusion merge, row 1 of Table A will join to row 1
of Table B only, and A.row1 gets selected.
Inclusion joins are created by queries with operators EXISTS, ANY, IN (subquery)
