What is not allowed?

CREATE SET TABLE cmpr_timstp
      (
      Pkey1 integer,
      atimestamp   timestamp(1) compress
       )
UNIQUE PRIMARY INDEX ( pkey1 );

This works, but can't figure out how to compress a specific value. So does Teradata allow compression on nulls but not on a specific value for a timestamp? Can't find compressing timestamps in the manuals.
