Does anyone know how to best build dimensional model views on top of a 3NF model? My team and I want 1) the views to be linked to the physical but still be their own things, 2) the views to inherit definitions yet also have them modifiable, 3) a way of cataloguing/documenting the views, and 4) the ability to run reports. Thanks.
