All,

I cannot find anything documented, but I'm pretty certain I remember hearing (in a V2R5 presentation) that the optimizer will begin (I guess in a later release of V2R5) to make more efficent use of PPIs when joining 2 tables together (for instance, selecting a specific 'Week' from a reference tables containing 'Week' and 'Day' -- then joining the reference table to a table partitioned by 'Day'.)

Maybe someone at Teradata can speak up and correct any mis-understandings regarding the future enhancements for PPIs?
