I think posting information on Netezza as a Teradata competitor is great. However, one must always keep in mind that often times corporations (even large ones) are given incentives and price breaks by vendors to assist in product promotion. So although it is interesting to hear of new high performance products, one must be careful not to form too quick of an opinion on them. I believe that not everyone will go out right away and jump on the Netezza bandwagon. Given a period of time though (like a couple of years), a much wiser, experience based decision can be made, either pro or con.
