<-- Anonymously Posted: Wednesday, May 07, 2003 10:01 --> Ulrich: yes, the query "SELECT * FROM member_activity_restricted WHERE cust_id IN (SELECT cust_id FROM customer_restricted)" must supply no rows -- even if somebody knows the cust_id of a restricted customer, he must not be able to see his activities. But the query "SELECT * FROM member_activity_restricted WHERE activity_date = DATE" has to show all customers (also restricted). Only with cust_id = 0 for the restricted customers! -- it ensures, that the aggregations run properly. Unfortunately it doesn't work in the view you wrote: the restricted customers will not be extracted at all. Regards
