David,
When you previously installed on a Windows 2000 system, you used the CD browser to install the Teradata database and to install the
Teradata utilities. When you installed the Teradata database on your XP system, you copied the tnt41 directory to your local disk and then
executed setup.exe. When the Teradata database install completed you were not returned to the CD browser, because you weren't using the CD
browser. The Teradata install completed OK and Teradata is starting OK on your system. To install the Teradata utilities and demo
applications, use the CD browser that starts when you insert the Teradata V2R4.1 Demo CD. Then you can verify that Teradata is working OK
by running the Complex Query demo. You probably don't need the Database Window; therefore, you can ignore the DBW error.
