Does anyone do anything which will remove all blocks/locks prior to doing a backup? I have a couple occasions where someone has a lock on a table that the backup has hung.

Immediately prior to the backup, I run the following script. This doesn't seem to clear all locks though.

LOGON asfp/dbc, twobad;
RELEASE LOCK (dbc)ALL;
LOGOFF;

I run my backups using asf2.
