Subj:   Re: About Teradata CRM implementation

From:   Thomas Buehlmann

I am currently involved in an implementation, let me give you my (preliminary viewpoint and facts)

Thomas

1.Teradata CRM is a packaged solution which requires enterprise DW as back end. Is it anyway related with DW loading process?

- No, it is not. The DW loading aspects are still completely under your control.

2.Does Teradata CRM have any ETL component for loading data from source systems to target DW?

- Nope, it is a completely separate product. All the CRM part does is to analyze the warehouse, create lists of customer or prospects according to the criteria you define.

3.Is decision of ETL tool selection for DW loading any way related with Teradata CRM implementation?

- cf above, no.

4.Which application server Teradata CRM normally uses?

- TD CRM is run on Windows based system. Usually you need a few online and offline server (terminology NCR!). They are relatively standard.

5.Can Teradata CRM work with IBM Weblogic application server?

- I am not sure I understand what you expect here. Again, the tool simply creates lists. So you would have to elaborate how you do see IBM Weblogic fit in here. Fundamentally I would say no.

6.Interface of Teradata CRM with any EAI tool. Which EAI tools work well with Teradata?

- as above
