I essentially agree; think of maintenance LOE, learning curve, $$$, and just plain TIME - I recommend keeping it as simple as you can,
until/unless you are forced (for whatever reasons) to further complicate your environment.
We have a production platform and combined development/test platform, and this has suited us just fine - so far.
