Hi, About 12 months ago, I did a series of FastExport tests under Windows, and found that to get the best performance you had to reduce the number of sessions down to one, effectively removing the parallel nature of the FastExport software. The difference between 1 and 2 sessions was quite astounding, nearly 250% slower for the later. This being the complete opposite for MVS. All the tests I have done in the past using BTEQWin has shown very poor performance. I will however do the tests in both BTEQWin and BTEQ (Command Line), just to see if there is any difference. I am sure that if I ran the same test under BTEQ on MVS, it would be finished before I managed to lift my finger of the enter key. Anyway, I will let the test results prove which is the faster. I agree, platform is key, and can make a big difference to way the software should be configured and eventually perform. Regards Matthew Winter
