It probably would but our policy is to let queries run no matter what the request, unless it degrades performance significantly (as
in brings the box to its knees) or lights up PMON's CPU delta. Then we contact the user and work with them to create a better request. We
choose not to adopt an automated query throttle.
That's why I listed this as a wish... We all have times where we'd love to over-exercise the Abort button in PMON with blatant disregard
for user well being but those darn policies get in the way.
