<-- Anonymously Posted: Thursday, December 19, 2002 11:42 --> I'm not sure if these are feasible, but then again it is a wish list... First wish would be to have a 'SQL debugger'. If I've got a large SQL statement and I get one of the many ambiguous error messages, I would like to be able to step through the statement (Parse, Optimizer, Execute, etc.) to see where the error occured. Second wish is, how about at least a debugger for the compile step(s) of stored procedures? Please. Third wish is, the ability to syntax check a SQL statement. That is, to send Teradata a query and have it simply be compiled to make sure everything is okay, and it does not execute the statement. That way I can test complex SQL without having to worry about the performance of the box. Anomy
