Subj:   View Syntax Formatting

Does anyone know how I can keep my original view formatting (line feeds, spaces, etc.) after creating it and then doing a show view? If I do a show view, it is displayed as one continuous line of text.

For example, I run the following view:

"CREATE VIEW DB1.Table2 AS LOCK row FOR ACCESS
        SELECT Col1,
                  Col2,
                  Col3,
                  Col4
        FROM DB.Table1 ;"

But when, I do a show view, the statement is displayed as:

"CREATE VIEW DB1.Table2 AS LOCK row FOR ACCESS SELECT Col1, Col2,
Col3, Col4 FROM DB.Table1 ;"

It looses all the formatting and for complex views, it is becoming a pain to recreate the formatting every time I need to review the sql.

I have looked through ODBC parameters, with no luck. I am running Teradata 2.08.00.00 driver. I have the problem creating views through both Queryman (V 5.1) and WinnDDI (V 5.0.0.01).

I appreciate any help!
