Anomy,
I am sorry I was not clear. I am not interested in other vendors tools, but simply wanting to find out if V2R5 Query Log has the
functionality we require to do our jobs. I used Ambeo Usage Tracker as a comparison only because I am familiar with its functions and
believe what it does is very close to what we need. I have been told by some that Query Log is not a tool to turn on and leave on. If that
is true then how can I use this tool to get historical data to do trending and uncovering dormant tables and columns. For example, I want
to look back over a period of a year and find all columns in our production tables that have not been used at anytime during that year. Is
this possible with Query Log? Again I have been told by some that this is not what Query Log was designed for and should not be used for
this.
I hope this explains better what I am trying to find out.
Thanks
Stephen
