Hi,

You can release a table in the application phase by adding a IN APPLY to the RELEASE MLOAD command. In any other phase, except cleanup a RELEASE MLOAD would release all Multiload locks. I am not aware of any way around the locks while the table is being Mloaded. But, loading 500mb of data should be very quick and should hardly cause any grief.
