Dear all,

We in our project, are thinking to take daily backup of teradata database for those tables which have been updated or loaded on hot tapes. Our system has Raid1 inplace.

Can we avoid this backup by setting permanent journal? If yes what will be the advantages and disadvantages of this?

Kindly guide us in reference to this issue.
