Reddy, What tool are you using to issue the SELECT * ? And how does that tool display NULLs? If you're using Queryman then it's default character for NULLs is '?'. To verify that you've realy got NULLs loaded, try the following query (from any tool) sel * From what you've said you should get one row back.
