Maybe you misunderstood my comment. I was trying to point out that the merchant databases were not working on optimizer technology to
improve 3NF query performance for analytical queries. I did not mean to imply Teradata was or wasn't doing or not doing anything. I was
trying to make the point that the OTHER databases were moving forward with dimensional designs, not 3NF, for data warehousing.
